Use of Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics only if you provide consent via the consent banner (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR).

Google Analytics is provided to us by Google Ireland Limited (Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland). Google processes the data on our behalf and is contractually committed to measures to ensure the security and confidentiality of processed data.

During your visit to the website, the following data, among others, is recorded:

  • Pages viewed
  • The achievement of “website goals”
  • Your behavior on the pages
  • Your approximate location (country and city)
  • Your IP address (in a shortened form, so that no unique assignment is possible)
  • Technical information such as browser, Internet service provider, device, and screen resolution
  • Source of your visit (i.e., through which website or via which advertising medium you came to us)
  • Personal data such as name, address, or direct contact data are not intentionally sent to Google Analytics.

Data may be transferred to countries outside the EU/EEA, including the USA. Such transfers rely on applicable safeguards under Chapter V GDPR (for example, adequacy decisions and/or standard contractual clauses, as applicable).

Google Analytics stores cookies in your web browser for a duration of two years since your last visit. These cookies contain a randomly generated user ID, with which you can be recognized during future website visits.

The recorded data are stored together with the randomly generated user ID, which allows the evaluation of pseudonymous user profiles. These user-related data are automatically deleted after 14 months. Other data remain stored in aggregated form indefinitely.

You can withdraw your consent at any time via the cookie settings. You can also block Google Analytics using the browser add-on:

Email Sign Up

When registering for content (technical measures guide sign-up), the entered data (such as name and email address) is processed and stored in Microsoft Azure (Germany region).

You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in emails. Unconfirmed sign-ups are periodically deleted. Data is used to send requested content and related updates.
